AWARDS
The Society runs a programme of awards for non-members, the object being to encourage and reward excellence and innovation in both 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional media. 2007 AWARDS The award for painting or 2 dimensional work was kindly sponsored by Peter Tyson of Carlisle. The award for sculpture.The Ophelia Gordon Bell award, was jointly sponsored by Lakeland Mouldings and the Heaton Cooper Studio. Prizes were awarded by the Selection Committee of the Lake Artists Society and presented by the sponsors during the members evening at The Hall, Grasmere on Thursday 26th July 2007 2008 AWARDS Sponsors for 2008 will include Kent Valley Printers for a work on paper value £150 and Cumbria Life Magazine for an original print value £200
