Ceri Allen, elected to the Society 1989

Ceri Allen studied Fine Art Painting at City & Guilds School of Art, London from 1982-1985. She has produced many commissioned works and her work is represented in many private collections in the UK and USA and also in Carlisle City Museum & Art Gallery and St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, Art Collection.

She has exhibited widely, solo exhibitions including Irthing Valley Centre, Brampton 1987; Castlegate House Gallery, Cockermouth 1998; Sark Gallery, Hethergill 1990 & 1994

Ceri Allen's commissioned work includes a portrait of novelist Margaret Forster in 1991, a painting of a Conservative Party rally for Lord Inglewood, and the painting above of Alexander Fleming's laboratory.
