| Born in Leyland, Lancashire in 1922, Claude Harrison was educated at Hutton Grammar School and studied art at Preston College of Art (1939-1941), Liverpool College of Art (1941-1942) and Royal College of Art ((1947-1950). He married the painter Audrey Johnson in 1947 and has had studios at Ambleside, Windermere, Easedale and Cartmell Fell. He has exhibited at the RA, RSPP and many more and has held numerous one-man shows in London, Italy, USA, Holland and the provinces.
