Graham Twyford was born in 1956 and trained at Goldsmith's College, London, graduating in 1979 with BA (Hons) Fine Art. In the 1990's he has designed and illustrated for Wedgwood, Danbury Mint, Bradford Exchange and Royal Worcester. He has exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Institute (Oil Painters).
Graham works in most painting and graphics media, with oil painting forming the major part of his output. Landscape features largely in his work, interspersed with imaginative invention/illustration. Taking influences from American and British landscape traditions such as the Luminists and Hudson River School, he applies similar working methods in a response to diverse Lake District environs.
