Painting Summer Gardens and Interiors with Ceri Allen
On this relaxed and informal course, you will have the opportunity to work both inside Allan Bank and outside in its beautiful Gardens with one to one guidance from Ceri . You may bring along your preferred painting or drawing media and we will cover aspects of composition, colour mixing , light and shadows.
For inspiration there will be a short presentation illustrating work of many great painters of gardens such as Claude Monet, Pierre Bonnard and Eduard Vuillard.
Students of all levels of experience are welcome!

Painting en plein air in the grounds of Allan Bank with Jamie Oldham
It will be a day of painting in the lovely grounds of Allan Bank. I will be demonstrating how I use oils outside, then giving you time to explore painting in a medium of your choice. I will be coming round throughout the day to help in any way I can. The spaces are limited to a small group to ensure a good working relationship, and that I can give everyone a good amount of time to guide.

Learn how to produce a simple Linocut using a range of colorways and on different surfaces. Led by experienced local printmaker Angie Mitchell, you will be guided step by step through the printmaking process and learn how to print your design without the use of a press. No experience necessary and an opportunity to develop skills for those with some experience.

Human Connection Solo Exhibition
The Human Connection Solo Exhibition includes paintings expressing the impact of the Pandemic on my work and subsequent artistic development. Visitors can also choose to browse through several folders - one giving background stories and painting process notes behind the artworks and others containing travel sketches, musicians in action and drawings produced as part of my rehabilitation following a stroke in 2024.
